Designed as part of a condominium renovation, this cellar was developed to maximize storage within a defined footprint while creating a refined space for both collection and service.
Finished in white oak, the cellar combines high-density bottle storage with dedicated bulk storage, a rolling library ladder for access to the upper racking, and a built-in serving and preparation area below. The result is a highly functional cellar that feels integrated into the residence rather than added to it.
Project Execution
Privé racking was crafted in white oak and tailored to make full use of the available wall height and storage capacity. Integrated LED lighting provides warm, even illumination throughout the space, highlighting the collection and millwork while maintaining a clean architectural finish.
Upper and lower racking accommodate the primary collection, while dedicated bulk-storage areas provide flexibility for cases and larger quantities. A serving and preparation counter was incorporated into the cabinetry to give the cellar an additional functional purpose for entertaining and wine service.
The rolling ladder completes the space, providing practical access to the full height of the cellar while becoming a defining architectural element of the finished design.
